In the images below, we are installing LX300 SSD into the slot on MacBook Pro 2015, but it is the same process for all other models mentioned above.
1. Once you get access to the logic board where the Apple PCIe slot is located, first disconnect the battery (does not apply to iMac, Mac Mini and Mac Pro)

2.Insert SSD in the slot. Please check the images below. Match and align the notch on the SSD to the PCIe slot. It would be best if you pushed firmly but also gently at the same time. Once you are in half, you may hit resistance. This is normal. Just keep going gently at around 15 degrees angle until you hear the click.

3. When you hit resistance, SSD will not yet be fully in the slot, and it will look like this. You need to keep going and gently push the SSD fully into place.

4. SSD is now fully installed into the slot. Use a Torx T5 screwdriver to secure the SSD in place. Please do not overdo it. Tight it lightly; otherwise, you can damage the head of the screw.

5. Reconnect battery. (does not apply to iMac, Mac Mini and Mac Pro)

6. LX300 SSD has macOS Mojave preinstalled. Therefore after installing and assembling back your Mac, press the Start button and start your Mac. Soon welcome set-up screen will appear on the monitor. Follow the on-screen instructions to finish setting up your Mac. After it is set up, you can update macOS to a newer version of your liking via System Preferences - Update.

I hope this helps. Please check our LX300 series Mac SSDs here:
