OWC Envoy Pro FX Thunderbolt 3 / USB-C Portable NVMe M.2 SSD - OWC Drive Guide would not set up drive resulting in error message "Unable to run OWC drive guide"
Problem:
The issue is that despite following the directions on my Mac, the installation program will not run, resulting in the error message shown in the attached picture. The second picture shows that I have been trying to run the application from the correct volume as directed in the error message.
Resolution:
Certain macOS security features require granted permission for tools and applications to function properly. OWC Drive Guide is an application that is present on select OWC external drive solutions providing users with a drive formatting walkthrough.
Permission will need to be granted for the OWC Drive Guide to properly complete the drive formatting process. Please see the guide in the attachment.
