When you are replacing more than one stick of RAM
When you are replacing more than one stick of RAM, the
computer will often struggle to register such a significant jump in size
resulting in beeps and a failure to boot.
If you experience this, shut the computer down and install
just one stick, restart and allow the computer to boot up and register the
first new stick, then shut down and install the second stick and restart again.
This can happen with any brand of RAM and almost
any laptop, PC, Mac, etc
